Wolf Trap lies between Route 7 and the Dulles Toll Road, and Trap Road is the local street that links them past the park entrance. On Filene Center performance nights a dedicated Wolf Trap exit from the Dulles Toll Road is opened for arriving audiences, which helps, but the last stretch is still a line of cars funneling into grass and gravel lots. From the Route 7 side, Towlston Road and Trap Road bring you in from the north.
Our chauffeurs choose the side that is flowing and time the arrival for when gates open rather than the last half hour, when the approach is slowest. If you hold lawn tickets, arriving early matters doubly, because lawn space is first come, first served.
