Fairfax is a genuine two-airport town. Dulles is typically 25–40 minutes by way of Route 50 or the Fairfax County Parkway, and Reagan National 30–55 minutes along I-66, depending on traffic. The City of Fairfax is built where Route 50, Route 29 and Route 123 converge, which makes its few downtown blocks busier than their size suggests. Main Street and Chain Bridge Road cross at the historic courthouse, and the county's judicial complex is just beside it. George Mason University's main campus lies immediately south along Route 123 and Braddock Road, with EagleBank Arena drawing concert, sports and graduation traffic of its own.
A few miles west, the Fairfax County Government Center sits off the Fairfax County Parkway near I-66, surrounded by the offices and shops of Fair Lakes and Fair Oaks. Our chauffeurs know these addresses by sight and know the patterns around them: the Route 123 backup at class change, the I-66 ramps at Route 50, and the express-lane options that can rescue a schedule.
For Dulles we usually run Route 50 to Route 28 or take the Fairfax County Parkway north, choosing by time of day. For Reagan National the route is I-66 east, which is tolled inside the Beltway during rush periods and can be slow outside it; we plan the pickup around that reality rather than an optimistic map estimate. BWI is a long haul around the Beltway and should be given 70–100 minutes depending on traffic.
